our story

W Homes Collective was founded in 2015 when high school sweethearts David and Kaylee, both Austin natives, were asked by friends to remodel a kitchen. This inquiry came on the heels of David and Kaylee’s own personal remodel and the results spoke for themselves. David’s education and background in construction technology engineering along with Kaylee's eye for design also prepared them well to take on the project. With the hopes and dreams of building custom homes together, Kaylee and David started their side business, "Wagnerhood”.

As time passed, their client base expanded from friends and family deeper into the industry. Throughout the process, they’ve built a team of trustworthy subcontractors, most of which have been with them since the beginning. As time has continued to pass, and business continues to flourish, Kaylee and David transitioned their side business into W Homes Collective, and remain rooted in their mutual desire to bring beauty and functionality into your most important spaces.

Meet the Wagners

Husband + Wife Duo

David and Kaylee live in Austin, raising their three beautiful children and investing in their community through the Austin Stone Church as well as serving as committee members for Northwest Austin Young Life. In their free time, the Wagners love to explore the outdoors, spending time at their family ranch, going on road trips, and making family memories at the beach.

David Wagner

OWNER - DESIGNER

David grew up in Austin and has held an interest in building and construction from a young age. His family has a long history of building houses of their own and he always enjoyed learning about the building process. Naturally gifted in planning and execution, David loves being involved in projects from start to finish. His greatest strength lies in his ability to build a strong team and consistently deliver outstanding results. When he isn’t working, David can be found hunting, fishing, golfing, or exploring any outdoor activities.

Kaylee Wagner

Kaylee was born and raised in Austin and grew up in a family that loved to design and remodel homes. Her early exposure to the transformative process helped grow her eye for design and interest in seeing the potential in spaces. One of Kaylee’s favorite things about working in construction and remodeling is the raw potential and room for change that each home holds. In her free time, Kaylee enjoys exploring the Texas hill country and immersing herself in the immense Austin culinary scene.
